Crime Scene & Evidence Department


The Cleveland County Sheriff's Office's Crime Scene and Evidence section is on call twenty four hours a day, seven days a week.  This section is responsible for the documentation and collection of forensic evidence at scenes when requested.

 

The Crime Scene and Evidence section conducts in house forensic testing for evidence and utilizes the services of the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation's Crime Laboratory when needed.

 

This section is also responsible for the maintaining and disposal of all evidence seized or found property collected by the Sheriff's Office.

 

There are currently two sworn Officers and one part-time civilian employee(s) to this section.
