REGISTERING TO VOTE

Voter registration deadline is always 25 days before an election. This deadline is applicable for the following reasons:

    1.    Never been registered to vote and are or will be 18 years of age by

           the next election.

    2.    Are registered to vote in another County or State, but now reside in

           Cleveland County.

    3.    A name change that is different from current voter registration.

    4.    A move to a different residence address from current voter registration.

    5.    A change in mailing address.

    6.    A desire to be registered with a different party affiliation.

Voter registration applications must be either post marked by the deadline date or they must be in the office of the Cleveland County Board of Elections by 5:00 p.m. deadline day.
