Statement Of Purpose
The Cleveland County Board of Elections shall conduct all elections, as required to do so, in a non-partisan manner with honesty and fairness to all candidates, issues and citizens. The Cleveland County Board of Elections shall adhere, at all times, to the North Carolina General Statutes, Chapter 163, and to all federal election laws as they relate to North Carolina. The Cleveland County Board of Elections shall strive to educate the general pubic in the election laws of North Carolina, and to the specifics of the election process as are current in Cleveland County. Election officials in Cleveland County shall show consideration, courtesy and a professional attitude in all dealings with the public.
