The clinic is staffed by a full-time dentist, a part-time dental hygienist, two full-time dental assistants – one for the front office and one for the back and a part-time processing assistant. The clinic is also serviced by a pediatric dentist who comes twice a month, a general dentist who comes in twice a month and a retired dentist who fills in when the full-time dentist is out.

Dr. Paul McMurry serves as the Health Department’s primary dentist.  He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his Doctor of Dental Surgery for the University of Maryland, Baltimore.  He has been with the Health Department since August 2008.

Halie Ruppe is the part-time Dental Hygienist.  She has been with the Health Department since August 2007.  Prior to joining the Health Department she worked in a private practice for 9 years.

Sekinah Gullatte is one of the dental assistants.  She graduated from Tidewater Technical College in Norfolk, Virginia and has been with the Health Department since April 2008.

Amy Arrowood is our second dental assistant.  Amy graduated from Western Piedmont Community College.  She has been with the Health Department since July 2008.  She worked in private practice for 12 years.

Pam Sarratt
is the processing assistant for the dental clinic.  She has been with the Health Department since 2000,  and has been the receptionist for Dental Clinic since March 2008.

Fernese Laborn is the part-time processing assistant for the dental clinic.  She is retired but she loved the health department so much that she came back to help in dental clinic.  She has been with the Health Department for over 33 years.
