The Cleveland County Library System is a trusted resource for entrepreneurs/start up businesses and existing small businesses. Library staff can provide research assistance with databases and directories, or industry analysis and business intelligence reports. If you are starting a business, examples of business plans available online through our databases. 

The Eugenia H. Young Memorial Library in Shelby provides flexible spaces for events, meetings, free wireless internet, printers, scanners, and computers.  The library's Makerspace has a 3D printer and other design tools that entrepreneurs can use to create a prototype. The library works with Cleveland County partner organizations to offer classes for job and career readiness and how to start a small business. At the Main Library, there are four meeting spaces that can be reserved.

A collection of databases offering a wealth of business resources, from professional test and licensure preparation from the Testing and Education Reference Center (TERC), to the incredible collection of automotive repair manuals in AutoMate, to the US and Canadian consumer databases in Data Axle, to back issues of The Wall Street Journal.
