Shelby City Park's
The City of Shelby’s Parks & Recreation Department offers a variety of facilities from accessible playgrounds and amusements, a historic carrousel and miniature rotary train, Royster Golf Course as well as a number of reservation based facilities.  Facilities include numerous picnic shelters at multiple parks as well as gymnasiums. Parks include: Shelby City Park, Hanna Park, Aquatics Center, Historic Carrousel and Miniature Train, Holly Oak Park, Tennis Courts and Royster Golf Course.

The Play Place Shelby
The Play Place Shelby is a family-owned, women-operated space created by a mom of two who saw a need for safe, fun and engaging play in our community. Learning as we go, we're passionate about providing a place where kids can explore, play and make memories - and parents can breathe easy with a coffee in hand.

Patriot's Park
Nestled in the heart of Downtown Kings Mountain, Patriots Park is a family and pet friendly park featuring a splash pad, walking track, porch swings, air conditioned and heated restrooms, a rentable gazebo and spacious picnic areas.
Patriots Park also serves as a premier entertainment venue hosting many festivals and concerts from the Liberty Falls Amphitheatre.

Circle M Safari Park
Enjoy a safari tour on our hay wagon ride across pasture filled with animals from around the world. Camels from Africa, fallow deer from Europe, emu from Australia, water buffalo from Asia, bison from North America, and much more!

Broad River Greenway
About 3 miles south of Boiling Springs you’ll find the Broad River Greenway. This natural area joins more than 20 miles of trails. It's the perfect place for biking, hiking, fishing, horseback riding, canoeing or perfecting the art of doing nothing as you hang out by the river. The greenway covers 1,500 acres. So bring your outdoor gear and prepare to spend a full day high-fiving Mother Nature.

Kings Mountain Gateway Trail
The Kings Mountain Gateway Trail has some of the best hiking and biking in the entire region. With four different trails that cover over 8 miles; where each trail connects to the other weaving throughout the forest and hills. Along the way, you may pass a bamboo forest, the edge of an active quarry, a garden designed for Monarch Butterflies or a scenic overlook of both Kings Mountain and Crowders Mountain. It’s time to gear up and head out. May the forest be with you.

Cleveland County Family YMCA 
Three primary locations serve Boiling Springs, Shelby and Kings Mountain. Workout facilities, swimming, rock wall and other resources are available for members and for event rentals.
