4 Steps to Choosing Books at your Child's Reading Level

1000 Books Website. Who can participate? Any child from birth until the start of kindergarten. How long will it take? The program is self-paced. There is no deadline. Every book counts. Books read by others count too. Repetition is key to learning, so you can read your child’s favorite books over and over again. How do I start? 1. Pick up an introduction packet at the Children’s Services desk. 2. Read a book (any book) to your newborn, infant, or toddler. 3. Record the book on your paper log (in the introduction packet). 4. When your book log is completed, turn it into the library! Little listeners get little prizes for every 100 books!
