2024-2025 United Way Campaign for Cleveland County Employees

On Wednesday, May 1st, we will launch the 2024-2025 United Way Campaign for Cleveland County employees! Our goal is to raise $50,000 for local United Way agencies. This will be an 18-month campaign that starts June 1, 2024, until December 31st, 2025.

An exciting new addition to this year’s United Way Campaign is the incentive prizes including a one-night stay at Broad River Campground and Opal and West House ($250 value), a gift certificate for a deep clean of your house ($300 value), car wash vouchers ($65 Value), gift cards to several local restaurants and businesses, and more.

Find all the Donation Forms here!

Employees will also receive paper forms from their Department Head the week of May 6th.

One of the primary reasons to give to United Way is because the money raised helps provide important community services in Cleveland County. But there are more reasons:

  1. Your neighbors need you. Your gift helps people right here in our community to meet needs ranging from food, clothing, and shelter to adult day care, abuse prevention services, elder care, and youth mentoring services. Over 40,000 people received services from the 23 United Way of Cleveland County Agencies last year.
  2. Your gift stays here. The money raised for United Way of Cleveland County is distributed to our local community.
  3. Local citizens make local funding decisions. Every spring, more than 30 of your neighbors volunteer to review what the County’s needs are and they review how United Way agencies used the funds they got last year. Then, they decide which programs will receive money and how much money each program gets.
  4. United Way is cost-effective. Out of every dollar you give, 87% goes directly to health and human services in Cleveland County.”

Over the past several months, our marketing team has spent intentional time with the agencies that United Way supports. After hearing their stories and seeing first-hand the amazing things that these organizations do, we want to provide you with two opportunities to learn more:
