What a difference a home makes

Ella, nicknamed Miss Pink Speckled Ears, had been in the Cleveland County Animal Shelter since August. Because she is a pit bull, she was passed up for adoption because of fears that people have about the breed.

But in December, Ella was rescued and she went to live with a foster family. Ella's foster mom reports that Ella has blossomed since leaving the shelter. She is playful, incredibly sweet, clumsy and goofy and has not exhibited any signs of aggression.

Feb. 5, 2019 Update: Since we originally posted this article, Ella's foster mom has now become her forever mom. Ella has been permanently adopted and her foster mom is officially a "foster failure". She fell in love with Ella very quickly and knew she wanted to keep her.
